The Lakers Will Win Game 3 In Denver
Here's why: Since the first two games were won or lost by two points or less it only makes sense that the two teams are evenly matched. I watched both games and observed that both teams were playing as hard as they could. The difference will be in the "little things" we do. We call them little but they are not little at all. For instance:
- Switching off quicker to double team Melo or Chauncey, those two guys are operating with way too much space.
- Filling the passing lanes and swiping at the ball. Trevor already does this but for some reason the rest of the team doesn't feel a need to do this.
- Full court pressing as often as possible, let the defense create the offense.
- Play Bynum, Farmar, and Brown more, and Sasha, Luke, and Fish less.
- Having a big always fighting for position under the hoop on offense, I notice our bigs are always out of position when Fish and Sasha clank bricks off the rim. A missed three is the same as a turnover for us because we never get the easy rebounds unless we're on D.
- Play inside out with our bigs.
- Make quicker substitutions when you see a negative trend like the Nuggets are starting to chip away at our lead. They are too loaded and talented and young of a team to let them back up for air once we have them down.
- Everyone should follow Kobe to the Gym early in the morning and they should stay there till he leaves. If they don't want to do it then F them they can lose to the Nuggets and get an early Summer break. It's time NOW to leave it all out on the floor.
- Play smarter not harder. Constantly analyze what's working and what's not working, swap the good out for the bad more quickly in real time. Don't wait until it's too late.
- Go back and watch film of what we did in game seven of the Houston series.
- Sustain leads with intensity that you normally reserve for crunch time in the final period. Just start your crunch time earlier. If you get tired well too bad, like I said if you want you can have fat ass Charles Barkley telling everyone "I told you so" and thinking he's smart.
